Your tour starts early with a transfer to Banteay Srei, built in the 10th century and dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva. After your visit, a Khmer or international breakfast awaits you at Prasat Banteay Srei Restaurant, located within the temple complex. It’s the perfect base from which to get out and explore. Taking in such highlights as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidental Palace, Once Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature and the infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ – the nick name used by POWs during the Vietnam War. You’ll jump on the cyclos and stroll through the bustling scenes of the Old Quarters. In late afternoon, You will also attend and enjoy a performance of Hanoi's renowned water puppet show, or attend a performance at the landmark Hanoi Opera House. Breakfast at hotel and you will enjoy 3-hour drive to Halong Bay. Embark on the stylish overnight cruise. Sip on welcome drinks and set sail soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. Set out to explore the expansive and beautiful grottoes afterwards, you can swim and snorkel around the Titop island. After a nap onboard, gather on the top deck for a sociable sunset party. Immerse yourself in Vietnam’s rich imperial heritage on this tour of historic Hué. The town is dotted with ancient pagodas, royal tombs, and the remains of an imperial stronghold. Set off after breakfast to visit Hué’s iconic, 17th century monument of Thien Mu Pagoda, whose narrow, seven-storied structure stands atop a hill by the Perfume River. Afterwards, you could either explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Hué Monuments centered on the Imperial Citadel, or the royal tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. At the Imperial Citadel, be dazzled by the regal architecture and royal gardens. Set amid a forested area, the Royal Tomb is equally spectacular. Glance into the city’s glorious past as a trading port as you meander through narrow narrow streets and alleys, brimming with well-preserved buildings and if desire you can also sample and savor the city's unique cuisine. Visit the restored 17th century Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Halls and explore the 200 year old Tam Ky ancestral house, then pay a visit to the delightful 400 year old Japanese covered bridge, and other historic merchant houses whose architecture have been influenced by the Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. Soak up the atmosphere in the quarter’s colorful market, which offers an array of silks that you can get stitched into stunning garments within a day or two! Breakfast at hotel and today you will enjoy a very cooking class at Red Bridge cooking school. This tour is designed for food enthusiasts wanting an in-depth understanding of Vietnamese cuisine. You will be taken by Chef tour to Tra Que organic herb gardens, walking through the market gardens where local farmers work their fields using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago - no electrical machinery here. We pick fresh saw-tooth coriander and Vietnamese mint for our cooking lesson later, before trying a special herbal drink at a local home. Three hours of in-depth hands on cooking, lunch, and return trip to Hoi An by boat. Arriving at Red Bridge Cooking School we have a chance to freshen up before beginning our class. Working together with your Chef we learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. Using the freshest ingredients and traditional Vietnamese utensils, we cook 4 famous dishes such as famous Beef Noodle Soup (Pho)’ & Clay Pot Fish with Dill. After the class we sit down and a chance to savour the dishes we have prepared. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool.
