Day 1: Arrive In Bangkok City

Sawadee, Welcome to Thailand – the Land of Smiles. You will be met by a local tour guide and taken to city, checking into your accommodation and you will spend the rest of the day is yours at leisure to begin your explorations, or just relax and enjoy your new surroundings. Stay at hotel in Bangkok.

 

Day 2: Highlights Of Bangkok (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and you will take a full-day scenic sightseeing tour of Bangkok and see all the city’s highlights on a 8-hour excursion. Explore the ornate Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Continue to the Wat Po temple with its Reclining Buddha. Relax with a 30-minute traditional Thai massage. Then, after lunch, sail by longtail boat along the Chao Phraya River through the city’s canals. See a traditional way of life, away from the high-rise buildings of central Bangkok, as you pass the Thonburi residential area. Stop at Wat Arun – the “Temple of Dawn”. Next, walk through the flower market and experience rural life in Bangkok. Discover a vast selection of orchids and tropical flowers. End your tour at Golden Mountain, a steep hill inside the Wat Saket temple compound, where panoramic city views are your reward. We will drop you at Khao San Road which is famously described on the The popular book ‘The Beach’ as “the centre of the backpacking universe” You will be free at leisure to explore the bustling and atmospheric areas with locals and your friends. Day 3: Thaka Weekend Floating Market (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel and today you will escape from Bangkok and visit the countryside to see vibrant markets and experience traditional ways of life. The ThaKha Floating Market, or Talat Nam ThaKha, is a rendezvous point for vendors on boats carrying local culinary curiosities, vegetables and fruit, often homemade or home-grown. These include chilis, shallots, garlic, coconut sugar, guavas, rose apples and pomelos, which are just a few of the many uniquely Thai tastes on offer. Leave the main market area and take a relaxing paddle boat ride. Pass by an old section of the floating market and enter a labyrinth of quiet canals. See houses built alongside the waterways and catch glimpses of local life in this rural Thai province (For a visit falling on weekday from Monday to Friday, For visits falling on a Saturday or Sunday, there is an option to visit the floating market Damnoen Saduak, of course it is more crowded with tourists). Day 4: Bangkok, Fly To Chiang Mai (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and you will check-out and be taken to the airport to take a flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, you will check-in the hotel and then you will visit village of Sankumpang, where surrounded by the artisans and their brightly-coloured fabrics and umbrellas, you can improve your skills in capturing movement. Finish the day at the temple on a mountain – Doi Suthep. The temple offers an unrivaled view of the city. Return to your hotel to relax rest of your day on the ground of the resort or make your own explorations to discover the city’s colorful night market with your local guide. Stroll past stalls offering everything from native handicrafts and electronics to fresh fruit juices and scrumptious noodles. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

 

 

   

 

 

Day 5: Morning Alms And City Orientation

Option: Wake up early and gain insight into the spiritual life of Thai Buddhists in Chiang Mai on this early morning tour with a knowledgeable private guide. Join devotees who provide morning alms to local monks, then climb the staircase to the golden pagodas of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, followed by a private blessing ceremony at the monastery of Wat Umong. Finish with a delicious northern-style noodle dish, complete with coconut milk and spices.

Day 6: Village & Hill Tribe Encounters (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel and today you will explore the hill tribes north of Chiang Mai on this full-day tour round the mountain villages and tropical forest of northern Thailand. Your 9-hour excursion starts with a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Thaton, former capital of an ancient Mon kingdom. Stop at a Hmong hill tribe village to learn more about the ethnic group that originated in southern China. After lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a 30-minute boat trip along the Mae Kok River to Baan Mai. Then drive by minivan to discover hill-tribe villages of the Akha, Palong, and Karen peoples. See the brass rings that the Karen women wear on their necks; the number increasing according to their age. Back in Thaton, explore the hillside temple of Wat Thaton and enjoy panoramic views of the villages, Mae Kok River, and dense rainforests of the mountain range. Transfer back to the hotel. Day 7: Elephant Sanctuary Experience (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel and our driver and tour guide will take you to the South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forests, and local farming areas. Arrive at the Sanctuary. Meet your guide and walk for 10-15 minutes through the Jungle to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing. Enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior. Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit and after lunch, you will learn how to make herbal medicine balls, feed the Elephants and then walk with the elephants to the river. Bathe and brush the elephants. Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa and then swim in the river. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

 

 

 

 

Day 8: Depart Chiang Mai (B)

After your hearty breakfast. Bid farewell to Chiang Mai today as you are met by your driver and will be taken to the airport for your onward flight to next destination. End of service.

Cancellation Policy

  • There may be cancellation fees charged by suppliers (hotels, airlines…) once these bookings are made and paid. These fees shall by paid by travelers.

These are maximum cancellation fees to be flexible applied:

  • Cancellation received from 30 days prior arrival date: 30% of total package tour charged
  • Cancellation fees charged by airlines, hotels… (if any)
  • Cancellation received less than 30 days to 20 days prior arrival date: 50% of total package tour charged + Cancellation fees charged by airlines, hotels… (if any)
  • Cancellation received less than 20 days prior arrival date or during tour or No-Show: 100% of total tour package.
